Let's Hear it for the Boys!

Jimmy plowed at 8:30 a.m. today in 22 degrees!
Dan then spent ALL DAY roto tilling the plot.
Roto tiller BROKE two times! Cracked a bolt in the
diggy thing, TWICE. Then Dan went to Aubuchon's
and got the RIGHT bolt and carried on until SUNSET!
Back breaking work. Thank you Jimmy and Dan!

This one's for you, Gumpy!

1980. My grandfather, Gumpy, and I planted a garden together and had worm castings trucked in. This is a pic of our FIRST harvest back in the day.

Snow on Okemo!!!

Can you believe this? Okemo with snow on it already, as seen from the garden plot!
It snowed here a wee bit on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd.

Mystery Fungus

Anyone know what this is? This is growing on our property, believe it or not!

Dan Does it All!

Dan and his John Deere. Part of the Song Garden
Team! Go Dan, Go!

Birth of the Song Garden!

We are looking forward to the end of the week, Thursday or Friday, when we break ground for the Song Garden! Jimmy will be plowing for us! The garden will be 60' by 60', with approximately 9- 60' rows and paths between them. Looking forward to adding worm castings, compost, bone meal and other goodies to the soil this fall, then diving into the seed catalogs and ordering in bulk for next spring! The planning stage is intoxicating.
