Ran out of our original order of 5,000 business cards over the last seven seasons! Had to update our card for this coming eighth season and onward into the future! We open on July 1st! Until then, we are growing our starter plants steadily now through end of May when we will plant them by hand into our gardens for our July through October flower picking and selling season.

We have been blessed with an extra week for flower picking! The frost early this week didn't get 'em! The flowers are continuing to bloom bloom bloom and the upper garden especially is fantastic still. Come on up and get your flowers for drying (celosia, gomphrena, hydrangea), pick some of our awesome ornamental kale, strip off the lower leaves and leave a nice rosette at the top...here it is featured in these photos. I made this bouquet this afternoon, 10/8/15. It's so pretty here right now with the fall foliage, the mountain views, the peace and quiet. You will really have a wonderful experience up here picking flowers and drinking in the beauty of October at the same time. After the Friday rain, I'm sure that Sat., Sun., Mon. and onward into the week we will still have plenty of flowers for plenty of gorgeous bouquets! Honor system. Open every day until the frost gets the flowers for good.

I am in love with this summer's gardens. Almost every evening I walk through all of the gardens and take a good look at each flower bed. I think I have a personal relationship with every flower! The flowers have become my friends and they bring me great comfort and much joy. I also feel comfort and joy when I see that perhaps the giant dinner plate dahlia has been picked, etc. I'm so happy that so many people have come and picked gorgeous bouquets for their friends, for weddings, for baby showers, for memorial services, and for themselves. Such a summer of floral abundance here and so many flowers are ready tonight and will be blooming to come! This is an intoxicating time of year for the gardener and for garden lovers...this is the time of the harvest. Please feel welcome to come to the gardens to pick your bouquets. Honor system. Money box in the green tent. I think you will have a beautiful time here, taking in the last of the summer heat and summer bounty before the nip comes back in the air of late Sept. early Oct. and the flowers are taken away by frost.
